My work is based mainly in Dorset, but I will work anywhere given the choice. I now work mainly in the landscape in quiet, out of the way places that are rarely visited.
I use natural materials in the landscape to which they belong. Any tools that I use have to be made from the materials that I find around me. The sculptures that I create are a direct reflection of my reaction to a landscape at that certain time. I usually work in one place for some time and the first sculpture is rarely the last or the best for that place. My work uses the elements that surround me and try to incorporate the aura that the place emits. I try to connect to the earth, sea and air in a way that is constructive and does no harm to the environment. I worked as a Celtic artist for about twelve years until it got the better of my eyesight and so unfortunately had to stop. Through this I found a fascination with the old paths of thought and became well read in the Celtic Mythologies and ways of life. I also work in the landscape making labyrinths for people to walk and explore.
