Dolmen Grove

Poetry is one of our most moving abilities.
To place words into an order that will stir and capture emotions be they tears or laughter, to conjure the sensations and images of faraway places or the rise of the sun to the calling of the night bird as the full moon rises over shimmering lake and forest.

It is our honour to post on this site the Poetry of individuals whose special words teach, enchant and entertain in the most special way.

LESSONS OF NATURE .

Much advice of taking your chance
Of lending a hand in sorrow
Of seeking reward in patience
Building your own path to follow
Bridging over the deep gashes
In the lacing of Family
Finding solace in dark places
In times of illness and worry
Many reminders of your birth
In the millennia of the Earth .

Many lessons of letting go
Of reading in between the lines
Of moving along in the flow
Of sporting the hide and the tines
Forgiving a friend or a foe
When it is fitting to retreat
Weaving a balance of to and fro
Between the stillness and the beat
Many trials of character
Within the ripples of Water .

Many urgings to leap afar
To shield or empassion the weak
To lay hands on a painful scar
Paint hope and mischief onto bleak
Lose yourself in consuming lust
Rage and hiss as troubles arise
Render into powder and dust
All that you loathe and you desweeweee
Many warnings of your power
Within the brilliance of Fire .

Many stories of times to pass
Of dreams of failure and glory
Of tiny grains in coloured glass
Counting the steps of memory
Sudden clouds on fair horizon
Feathery omens to behold
Blind gaps in the line of reason
Threatening the young and the old
Many a lost secret to spare
In the fickle breath of the Air .
